Is there somewhere to dry clothes?

The most common question asked by Hadrian’s Wall walkers! Yes, wet clothes can be dried in the boiler room.

Where is the nearest supermarket?

There is a Co-op in Brampton as well as several butchers and bakers. Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and Sainsburys all in Carlisle. They will all deliver to Haytongate.

What if I need to recieve mail or e-mails whilst I’m on holiday?

Mail is delivered Monday to Saturday at around 9am. There is also wifi in the barn, a password will be provided when you arrive. 

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, you may bring your dogs (2 dogs maximum) provided they are house trained and reasonably well behaved. There will probably be cattle and sheep in the neighbouring field so they must be ok with farm stock.

Is there a telephone at Haytongate Barn?

There is no landline but you will receive a good signal from most mobile service providers.

What laundry facilities are there?

There is a washing machine in the kitchen and a big drying rack in the outhouse. Clean linen and towels are provided.

Does the house have central heating in every room?

Yes.

Does the house have a TV and DVD player?

There is a TV & DVD player in the living room . There is a large collection of DVD’s too.

Where can I get logs if we want to use the woodburning stove?

A good initial supply of logs and kindling are provided. A small charge may be made for additional supplies.
